Enhancing Preservice Teachers’ Understanding of Circulation System Concepts, Attitude and Motivation

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness learning cycle instruction on preservice elementary teachers’ understanding human circulatory system concepts, attitudes towards biology and motivations. Human Circulatory System Concepts Test, Attitude Towards Biology Scale, Science Process Skills Test Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire were used collect data. test was administered teachers in control experimental groups. quasi-experimental design as research design. analysis covariance revealed a statistically significant difference favor group after treatment. more effective when compared with teacher-centered eliminating students’ misconceptions about system. There no effect motivation. Students’ prior knowledge science process skills related achievement. Teacher educators should provide different opportunities experiencing teacher education programs.
